Murray Bridge Green 2018 South Australian Masters Games

The Murray Bridge Green 2018 South Australian Masters Games has been and gone for 2018. Murray Bridge played host to a hugely successful event which featured one of the best Opening Ceremonies we have witnessed in a long time.

Twenty three (23) sports took part in the Murray Bridge Green 2018 South Australian Masters Games including Dragon Boat, Cricket, Netball, Table Tennis, Basketball, Tennis, Cycling, Lawn Bowls, Sailing just to name a few. Sport SA managed to get out and watch competition in each and every sport and it was terrific to see the fierce rivalry along with the sporting camaraderie and friendship that comes along with an event such as this one.

Former Adelaide 36er Mark Davis, and former Diamond and SA Hall Of Famer Michelle Den Dekker were the sporting ambassadors for the Masters Games  this year and thoroughly enjoyed their time in Murray Bridge. We even spotted Mark racing in one of the Dragon Boat heats, he certainly hasn’t lost that competitive edge!

The event itself ran over four days and featured athletes, coaches and volunteers from all over the state and culminated in a Closing Ceremony on the Sunday evening.

We would sincerely like to thank everybody that attended the games and Murray Bridge City Council for running an incredibly seamless and spectacular SA Masters Games.
