IMPORTANT NOTICE RE INSURANCE AT TOURNAMENTS
Due to requirements of insurance providers, Basketball SA is introducing a process regarding notification of District Club teams playing in tournaments.
Teams entering tournaments must be sanctioned by BSA so that player accident insurance can be extended to participation in those events. December / January sees a few tournaments where teams will need to be sanctioned, for example, the St Clair Carnival, the Starplex Australia Day Carnival or tournaments in Victoria. Only players who are financial with Basketball SA (ie. paid the online BSA player registration fee) will be covered by insurance.
Coaches / Managers of teams that are entering tournaments will need to advise admin@nabc-rockets.club the following information:-
• name of the team (eg, U14.2 girls)
• name of the tournament
• dates and location
• names of the players participating
This information will then be provided to BSA to sanction participation and ensure our players are covered should an insurance claim arise.
