"Former North Adelaide Rockets Junior and Senior player and now Perth Links and Australian Opal Lauren Mansfield joined the Under 12 Girls today. 'Loz' chatted with the girls telling them she started at our Club, in Under 12s, just like them.

Lauren chatted about the game, defence, shooting, passing and the importance of the fundamental of ball skills. You can't pass or shoot if you can't dribble the ball, and it's something everyone can easily practice every day.

The players were very engaged and loved putting some of Lauren's ball handling drills into action.
They finished the session with a fun game of good old Bump with Lily Ormond winning and was given an Opals singlet.

We would like to thank Lauren for spending time with the girls, they absolutely loved it. We are lucky as a Club to have such wonderful role models so accessible to our junior players and thanks also to Barry for organising it."
