CLEARANCE PROCESS

From time to time and for various reasons players may choose to move from one basketball club to another. The process for doing this is outlined on the BSA website.

For a clearance between Clubs in the SA District competition the process is outlined below.

Local Clearances
For transfers between clubs within the Basketball SA district competitions, a clearance must be applied for via an email or letter to the club secretary of the current club.

For North Adelaide this is Karen Croxton (Email - secretary@nabc-rockets.club) and this email address should be the only point of contact for all clearances.

This email must mention the player's name and the club to which the player is applying to be cleared.

If the application is via email, the Basketball SA Competitions Assistant (comps1@basketballsa.com.au) should be copied into the email.

The club must respond within 14 days, either granting the clearance, or providing a reason why the clearance cannot be granted.

The only legitimate reason for not granting a clearance is if the player is not financial with the Club or holding club equipment.

North Adelaide will not clear a player unless all outstanding fees including training fees are paid in full.

There are slightly different processes for transfers to other SA competitions; interstate or international clubs and the NBL or WNBL and information for these as well as the information above can be found using this link:-
