The home Premier League season is over for another year. With our undefeated Women moving straight into the Grand Final, there are no more games at the Launch Pad until next season.

It takes 40 plus volunteer hours to run a home game, times that by 11 home games this year and the total is sizeable!!

A few thank yous -

We are extremely lucky at NABC to have a number of quality people to run our stats and score table. Thank you to Sam Ninnes who took over the rostering of the scoretable and host teams this year, and to Mark Wolstencroft, who has co-ordinated our stats forever. If you watch a 36ers or Lightning game this year, have a look at the scoretable and you will see both Mark and Sam there. To all our other volunteer scorers thank you not only for helping out at Hillcrest, but for covering for other clubs who do not have the committed volunteers we do at NABC. And they do it all for a good seat and a cup of tea!

David has volunteered for these two very important roles for many years and does them both very well. He also (with the help of Scott the Plumber,) gets to games early to put up the umpires tent, and waits till late to take it down. Thank you.

To the Adams family and Michelle, thank you again for presenting a welcoming face to teams after games by co- ordinating and presenting our post game suppers. You do a wonderful job.

Helen is the best in the business, no one sneaks by without paying, and we appreciate her turning up every week and coordinating the door.

A few new faces in the canteen this season. It is torrid in there when the crowds are large. They make and sell a LOT of hot dogs!!!! Thank you ladies (and gent).

Thank you Scotty. You do Stats, co ordinate the bar, help David put up and take down the tent, supply raffle prizes, sweep floors, fix broken loos, everything!!! And of course you are our sponsor contact!!!!! Thank you, it is appreciated.

And of course to the two squads who provide the entertainment each week. They give us their Saturday nights for 6 months, plus two weeknights training, Saturday afternoon for shoot-arounds, countless hours in the gym or on the track, and on top of that many hours fundraising to balance their budgets. Mostly for the love of the game. Thank you also to Coaches, Team Managers, Masseurs, Physios etc etc who all dedicate more hours than you can imagine to keep the teams on the floor.

Thank you to our wonderful supporters who come to not just Hillcrest but our away games also. You truly make Hillcrest a formidable venue for our opponents, and WE LOVE IT.

And last but by no means least thank you to Barb who co-ordinates many issues behind the scenes to make sure Saturday nights happen. As well as managing to find time to sit on the PL scoretable, score for the Reserves Men on Tuesdays, spend countless hours fundraising, organising raffles etc etc etc.

Congratulations and thank you for another successful year but don't forget, everyone needs to be at the Titanium Security Arena Saturday week to see the Women go 20 and 0!!! WEAR PLENTY OF RED AND WHITE.
