A very enthusiastic Rockets crowd gathered at the corner of Hampstead Road and East Parkway yesterday, on the site of the new Lightsview Indoor Recreation Hub, taking the chance to "enjoy the moment", before work commences on the facility and the area is closed off to the public for the next 18 months or so.

Rocket players, supporters, Coaches, parents and Committee members were represented and given the opportunity to turn over a sod or two as a contribution towards the build and to say that they were there when it all started.

A big thank you to MP Dana Wortley (Member for Torrens), City of Port Adelaide Enfield Councillor (and Deputy Mayor) Matt Osborn and the Hon Russell Wortley MLC, for taking time out of their busy calendar to attend and wish us well.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
