Welcome all to the South West Junior Football League (SWJFL) in the 2022 season!
What's new you ask?
We are excited to announce SWJFL has developed a new structure for the Youth Girls (YG) competition. Teams now are;
- YG 3-6
- YG 6/7
- YG 8/9
- YG 10-12
Clubs, start securing your Coaches, Team Managers and other staff to assist you for these brand spanking new teams. New 'Quick Guides' have been written to cover all the questions coaching staff may already be asking, which will be published in the 2022 SWJFL Competition Bylaws & Information Booklet.
The 'Last Possession Rule' has been reinstated for Y 11-12 only, and other premiership point competition teams no longer require Boundary Umpires. However, if you have boundary umpires, they can still be utilised for a quick retrieval of the ball. In this instance, Boundary Umpires are not required to make decisions, or blow the whistle. Boundary Umpires must still wear the yellow boundary umpire vest, and be listed on the Team Sheet.
As a guide, the 2022 Junior Rules and Regulations Handbook hasn't been published, however you can still access last season's 'Bible'.
