The scholarship program, launched on January 1st 2023, received an overwhelming response, with 33 entries. During the scholarship orientation event, held today, Palau NOC President Frank Kyota extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the scholarship recipients and their parents. He emphasized the importance of continued parental support in nurturing and developing these talented individuals into not only exceptional athletes but also productive citizens of Palau.
Secretary General Baklai Temengil, during her address at the scholarship orientation, shed light on the significance of the Olympic Day celebration and provided an overview of the Palau NOC’s role and responsibilities. She highlighted the organization’s commitment to fostering athletic excellence, promoting inclusivity, and upholding the Olympic values within the Palauan community. Secretary General Temengil encouraged the scholarship recipients to embrace Olympic Spirit and use their platform to inspire others to pursue their dreams relentlessly.
