Sports and Active Society for Good Health 2018!
The Palau National Olympic Committee and All Sports Federations pledge to the broaden the delivery of Sports and Active Society in our community, and in line with the Presidential Proclamation of 2018 Year of Good Health, has engaged with communities active programs to promote and encourage everyone to participate. The Palau NOC and All Sports Federations and Friends in Active programs invites everyone to attend and take advantage of this active programs and sports events available to anyone and for all ages: Canoe Training and practice at Meyuns Ramp every Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 5pm, Basketball Leagues for all departments and national basketball programs at the National Gym every night and every day after school, Palau Major League Season has begun its evening games (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and during the day Saturday), Swimming practice and learn to swim daily at 4pm National Swimming Pool at Meyuns, Indoor Volleyball training evenings 530pm and early morning 5am at Palau High School gym, Tahiti Basic Aerobics for kids and adults every Wednesdays from 6-7pm for ages 2-7 and 730-830 same night after the kids for 18yrs and up. Wrestling, Judo and Table Tennis programs, training and learn to play at the National Gym every week evening from 530pm . Cross Training with Boxing Federation also available every Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays at 5:15pm at National Gym. Track and Field training at the track venue every afternoon and regular walk for life events every other weekend. Archery practice and training at Airai Elementary School field every Saturday from 9am to 12noon. Palau Zumba group also offers Zumba for everyone every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7pm-8pm at Maris Stella School Auditorium. Also Zumba on Wednesday 6-7pm at the former Suriyotai Restaurant Bldg next to PIDC bldg and Friday Zumba at Palasia from 6-7pm.
For Team Palau to the Micronesian Games 2018 preparation, all sports are now preparing their teams to the games. The Sports to the Micronesian Games in Yap this July are Athletics, Baseball, Basketball, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Table Tennis, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Canoeing, Archery Demo Sport, Soccer, Micro All Around, Spearfishing and Swimming. The Micronesian Games 2018 in Yap is from July 15-27.
