Stevick Patris sets his personal best marking him on the 38th spot out of 46 at the International Weightlifting Federations (IWF) World Championships held in Houston, USA November 20th 2015. Stevick was able to increase 5 kilos more on his snatch category and 7 kilos more to his clean & jerk category compare to his last performances in Oceania championships and Pacific Games which was held earlier this year. According to Stevick during his interview he was very happy for this huge success for him and also his first time to tie up with his fellow contender from Yap, FSM Mr. Manuel Minginfel Stevick at a total of 272 kg. Although they were tied up with 272 kg, Stevick weighed in 0.04 kg less than Manuel and ranked him 38th and Manuel at 39th place. Stevick Patris is one of the recipients of the Rio 2016 Olympic scholarship and now in New Caledonia where he is residing and training full time at the Oceania Weightlifting Training Center in preparation to the upcoming World Olympics in Rio 2016.
