Day 4

Day 4

Just Say YES

On April 1, 2015 the OSEP Zone 1 Staff Orientation continued with a great review exercise where all participants played musical chairs and had to dance. Whoever was out had to pick two review questions out of a cup and answer them. The questions were related to all the things that we covered the day before. After this review exercise, Corrine Hideos shared the quote for the day:  “ Just say YES and you’ll figure it out afterwards”.  This quote was a reminder to the OSEP staff that they should not deny individuals of training opportunities, but rather provide pathways or actions steps for individuals to be able to participate in OSEP courses.

The main activity for day 4 of the orientation was to merge NOC and OSEP strategic plans into staff work plans.  Emphasis was focused on including Key Performance Indicators from both OSEP and NOC strategic plans into their work plan.   The north pacific staff also went through each duty and responsibility outlined in their job description to provide a better understanding of what was expected of them in their role.   One of the goals is to develop national training calendars and to compile an overall north pacific regional calendar for OSEP training.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
