Palau Youth Olympic Games Chef in Singapore

The Chef de Mission for Team Palau to the 1st Youth Olympic Games in Singapore, Mr. Kazuki Sungino, is in Singapore attending the meetings in our team preparaiton to the Games in August. The 1st Team Palau athletes to be confirmed by the respective IF is Ms. Maria Gibbons, swimming and the IOC has confirmed that our athletes have been awarded preliminary approval by respective international federaiton to participate in the Youth Olympic Games. The athletes nominated from Palau are: Rodman Teltull and Sorai Bella Reklai (athletics) and Mavrick T. Faustino (Weightlifter). The Team Palau Youth Olympic Games have been awarded an Olympic Solidarity Grant for Youth Olympic Games in total amount of $US45,000.00 to assist in their preparation and qualification process to the games. Congratulations to all the young athletes.
