Upwey High School have been awarded the Championship School shield as the most successful school of the 2016 Volleyball Victoria Schools Cup - One Day Event for a second time in as many years.
The 2016 Schools Cup - One Day Event was held over Thursday 26 and Friday 27 May and saw 80 teams from 20 schools compete in this fantastic school volleyball tournament.
The Championship School awarded is determined by the 6 best placed teams from each school with a gold medal finish being awarded 10 points, silver and bronze receiving 6 and 3 points respectively. Upwey High School recevied a maximum 60 points with six of their teams winning a gold medals.
Upwey High School were closely followed by Rowville Secondary College (52 points) and Maribyrnong College(40 points).

Attention now turns to the upcoming Volleyball Victoria Schools Cup - Three Day Event which will run from the 29-31 July. Online entries are open now (closing on the 24 June).
