Volleyball Victoria are pleased to announce that TEAM ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN for the 2021VOLLEYBALL VICTORIA SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP!
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A SIMPLE POSTPONEMENT OF THE FOUR DAY SCHOOLS CUP THEREFORE ALL RELEVANT SCHOOLS WILL NEED TO RE-ENTER ALL TEAMS!
Pending the easing of restrictions Volleyball Victoria are committed to hosting a schools event in 2021 that combines the prestige and competitive nature of the Schools Cup with the possible participation of the interstate and western schools, as well as associations, who attended the 2019 Junior Open.
This new one-off event will be held at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC) from Sunday 28 November – Wednesday 1 December.
The Volleyball Victoria Schools Championship will incorporate the 2021 Four Day Schools Cup and therefore all Volleyball Victoria Schools Cup records, including Champion School, will be updated based on the results at the Schools Championship.
As with the 2019 Volleyball Victoria Junior Open associations and interstate Schools will be invited to attend and compete in full with medals awarded to these schools or associations as required. All Volleyball Victoria Schools Cup archives would acknowledge any associations or interstate teams, however, these teams would be ineligible to receive any Champion School points for the purpose of the 2021 records. This means, for the purpose of Champion School, that if an association or interstate school were to win a division and a Victorian school finish second the first place Champion School points would be awarded to the school who finished second, the second place points awarded to those who finished third and so on.
For those schools that are interested in attending the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup and are concerned about qualification Volleyball Australia encouraged any interested schools to nominate in the first instance. They will then cross the qualification bridge in the coming months as circumstances are constantly changing.
ALL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION can be found below or on the Volleyball Victoria Schools Championship website. As this is the first ever Volleyball Victoria Schools Championship the rules are subject to change as required.
