AFL Victoria will begin their State team trial process for the Victoria Country and Metro Youth Girls team this month.
AFL Victoria will field two teams (Country and Metro) at the AFL's National Youth Girls Championships which will be played in Canberra from May 2-9.
Any girls interested in trying out for selection in the squads are encouraged to register via the links below and attend trials.
VICTORIA COUNTRY (playing in a VCFL country league)
AFL Victoria is running three training sessions for girls to try out for the Victoria Country Youth Girls State team. To be eligible, girls need to be turning 14-18 in 2014. Girls need to attend two of the following the sessions listed below to be considered for selection.
- Saturday February 22 - North Melbourne FC - 10-2pm
- Sunday, 23 March (this will also double up as a trial for the School Sport Victoria U16 Victorian team trial) - North Melbourne FC - 10-2pm
- Saturday, 29 March - Ballarat High School, Sturt St West, Ballarat - 10-2pm

VICTORIA METRO (playing in a metropolitan league)
AFL Victoria is running two training sessions for girls to try out for the Victoria Metro Youth Girls State training squad. An invitation to join to the State squad does not guarantee selection in the final touring team. To be eligible, girls need to be turning 14-18 in 2014.
Girls need to attend only one of the sessions listed below.
- Wednesday, 26 February - 5:30-7:30pm - Richmond FC, Punt Rd Oval, Richmond
- Wednesday, 5 March - 7-9PM - Highgate Reserve, Grand Boulevard, Craigieburn
