All ten Western Youth Girls teams will be represented at June's AFL Victoria Metropolitan Junior Championships. A well rounded squad of twenty six that features both familiar faces as well as new and emerging talent will take on interleague teams from the Northern Football League, Yarra Junior Football League and the South East Juniors. Importantly, girls from the Western competition's newest teams, Oak Park-St Francis, Deer Park, Williamstown and Pascoe Vale will all see interleague action. The team will be co-coached by former Youth Girls and current Youth Girls Academy coaches, Jess Heath and Alexandra Saundry.
Three rounds of football will be played from June 1 to June 13, with the grand final to be played on June 25.
All selected girls are expected to have completed their online application here.
