Four Ballarat FNL clubs have indicated their interest in setting up the first Ballarat Youth Girls competition.
At the BFNL junior club meeting this week, Ballarat, Ballarat East, Sebastopol and Redan all expressed interest in setting up their own teams to kick start Victoria's newest Youth Girls competition.
AFL Victoria's Female Football Development Manager, Chyloe Kurdas, met with BFNL junior club representatives this week to discuss their potential involvement.
"The clubs were very receptive to the idea. They see the inclusion of Youth Girls football at their clubs as something exciting and fresh".
BFNL's Football & Netball Operations Manager, Aaron Nunn, is working hard behind the scenes to bring the competition to fruition.
"The BFNL will do whatever it takes to get this competition up and running. We have met with the schools and have had a fair bit of interest in the competition so far".
