2010 Bendigo Representative Team Selection Training Starts on Monday June 7. The venue is still to be confirmed. 

The girls will play a single match against the Geelong representative team on Tuesday June 29 in Melbourne as part of the VCFL's V Line Country Cup. 

This history making event will be first time that a Geelong representative team will be selected and the first time that girls will play in the VCFL's V Line Country Cup.

Girls from all four Bendigo Youth Girls teams are encouraged to attend training.

The staff that have been appointed are:

- Coach/selector: Darryl Wilson

- Assistant Coach/selector: Darren Turnbull

- Selector: Tony White

- Team Manager: Beth Taylor


The three selectors will be required to select 22 girls to play in the match. As long as the girls meet the selection criteria of attending one of the first two sessions and the third session, then a player from each team must be selected. The selection policy has been attached. 

Training dates

Training will be held on the following nights:

- Monday  June 7 (venue to be confirmed)

- Monday June 14 – Weeroona Oval – 6pm

- Monday June 21 – Weeroona Oval – 6pm  (selection)

- A fourth training may be held for the final squad

Competition Rules

- All normal Youth Girls rules will apply except teams will be able to have 18 on the field.

Volunteers Required

- We will need to find the following volunteers for the team:

- 4 *  water runners

- Runner

- Timekeeper

- Scoreboard attendant

- Umpire escort
