The Chirnside Park Panthers have built on last year's success by increasing their playing numbers. They are now hoping to field a second side but will need a few more girls to make it happen. Below is report from coach, Keltie Blake.
Chirnside Park JFC is looking for more Youth Girls players for season 2010. After a successful debut year in 2009 coming runners-up in the Eastern division, the ‘Pink Panthers’ are looking to expand. Chirnside Park JFC are developing a pathway for female players including Auskick (all female OR mixed participation), EFL Junior mixed teams, Youth Girls teams, and a proposed VWFL women’s team for 2011. In 2010 we are looking at entering a second Youth Girls team as our player numbers are steadily increasing.
In 2009 Chirnside Park had Youth Girls represent Victoria in the National Championships, Interleague, School State U16 team, and Youth Girls Academy squad. Chirnside Park is a very family orientated club and the Youth Girls team is a great way to make new friends and keep fit, even if you have never played football before. We have a strong coaching and support staff network that can help you get the most out of your football.
If you are interested in playing Youth Girls football or know someone who may wish to play, visit the Chirnside Park FC website (http://www.chirnsidefc.com) or contact Keltie Blake on 0421 847 445.
