It will be a big weekend for Darebin Falcons stalwart Louise Potter who this weekend plays her 150th VWFL game.
For the last 14 years Potter has been the ultimate club person at the Falcons, involved with not only the football club, but cricket club as well.
The list of roles she has fulfilled is lengthy from being captain, coach, a volunteer and a variety of roles on the Darebin committee.
As a player Potter has always been skilled and is highly competitive.
He list of club accolades include goal kicking (VWFL & DWSC Reserves, 2007), best & fairest (DWSC Reserves, 2007) most improved (DWSC Seniors, 2005 but more importantly she is a three time premiership player (2006 with the seniors, 2007 & 2009 with the reserves.
A leader on and off the field, Potter's glare and quick wit are famous among the club and opposition players. For those who know her best, it's her generosity of spirit that makes her really stand out.
After a serious knee injury in 2010, Potter took on the challenge of coaching. She began by assisting Kim Bradley to coach the Reserves to a premiership in 2010. Then took on the role of head coach of the reserves and won another premiership in 2011.
After a few years Potter couldn't stay on the sidelines any longer so she pulled the boots back on in 2013. In 2015, she remains as competitive as ever and is providing plenty of wisdom, encouragement and laughs for the first Division team.
Louise Potter is a legendary Darebin Falcon and thoroughly deserves the accolades that this milestone brings.
The Darebin Falcons will play this Sunday from 12pm at AH Capp Reserve.
