Saturday marks the first of a handful of TAC Cup matches for the NSW/ACT Rams and this week’s AFL Victoria Record features one of their own who recently made the move to Victoria.
Albury native Will Setterfield relocated to Melbourne as a 15-year-old to further his football career with the Sandringham Dragons and he talks about how he came to the difficult decision as well as how he dealt with a serious injury away from home last year.
The Record also chats to new Werribee recruit Jordan Jones, who made the opposite move to Setterfield in returning to his home town of Geelong after seven years playing in Western Australia in the AFL and WAFL.
Meanwhile another new VFL recruit, Williamstown’s Christian Buykx-Smith, talks about the battle ahead of him to break into the Seagulls’ premiership-winning back line.
In VFL Women’s news, we have a review of last year’s VWFL Premier Division Grand Final rematch between Darebin and Diamond Creek in Round 2, while in VFL News we take a closer look at the hero of North Ballarat’s fairy-tale first win as a standalone club.
AFL Vic News unveils the Victorian representatives in the 2016 Flying Boomerangs and World Team squads and, as always, don’t forget to test your knowledge of all things VFL and TAC Cup in the weekly AFL Victoria Record quiz.
