Halaifonua and Shearer named to National Teams

The Tall Ferns and Tall Blacks will face Australia in the Trans-Tasman Throwdown series next month.

With the player selections being announced gradually we can reveal that Julius Halaifonua and Emme Shearer have been named to the respective teams to date.

Emme has just completed her outstanding five year career at the University of Portland while Julius is about to finish his freshman year at Georgetown University.

Hopefully more former Harbour reps will be announced in the coming days.

Following two games played in Australia the third and final game of the series will be played in Hamilton on May 11th – it will be double-header featuring both the Tall Ferns and Tall Blacks.

Julius has a more pressing engagement to deal with as he is a member of the New Zealand  U19 team embarking on a tour to China this week.

Julius is joined by Bart Jackowski and Jameer Reed as the three Harbour representatives in the 12 man squad. Good luck fellas.
