2014 Harbour Basketball AGM a Success!

The 2014 Harbour Basketball AGM was a resounding success last night. Over 30 passionate, and at times very lively, individuals attended and had their say on how to keep Harbour at the top of basketball in New Zealand.

We are proud to report that Harbour is in a very strong position both financially and in our community. We were once again the most successful basketball organisation in New Zealand, reaching seven national finals and winning three titles.

Harbour was also represented in the inaugural World Cup of Basketball with seven members of the Tall Blacks team being former Harbour Basketball players. Additionally, the college careers of Harbour players have blossomed and those returning to college look to perform at an elite level once again whilst those leaving look to take the next step in their careers at the professional level. We wish these players all the best!

We would also like to welcome the newest life member of Harbour Basketball, Phil Henderson who was unanimously voted in this past year. Phil has contributed greatly to Harbour Basketball throughout many years of service. If you see Phil around don't be afraid to say congratulations and thanks for all the work he has, and continues, to put in!

We are looking forward to another great year in 2015 starting with the Rep trials later in November and early December and the launch of our Girls in Basketball program with Sunday scrimmages. Don't forget to sign up!

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
