North also had seven players in the league team of the year, making up just under a third of the team, with forwards Jason Butty and Tyrone Montebruno named at centre-half-forward and full-forward respectively, with Jonathan Miller joining them on the half-forward-flank.
Reece Duffield, Kieran Murphy and Jordan Lampi named in the midfield also showed the strength of the team, while Sam Denby-Blake named at full back affirmed that North Footscray had one of the most well rounded teams in the league.
For the Eagles, they’ll hit the road hard in 2018 looking for redemption, but North Footscray can bask in their glory all summer long.
