WEST Footscray are still hoping for a finals finish after a 12-point win over Albanvale on Saturday.
Despite trailing by two-points at halftime, the Roosters stole the lead during the third term and held onto it throughout the remainder of the game.
Ruckman, Simon Kelland shone for West Footscray in contests enabling the ball to move through the midfield while Corey Irving was consistent kicking three major goals.
Daniel Bartolo kicked three goals for the Cobras and Jarryd Formosa performed best on ground.
Manor Lakes defeated the Yarraville-Seddon Eagles by 13-points coming back from a 4-point deficit at half-time.
The Eagles fought hard to take control of the second term, but a series of missed opportunities lost them the lead.
Storm dominated the contested ball in spite of windy conditions, demonstrating efficiency in their delivery to the forward line.
Justin Palmer contributed three goals to the win for Storm while Mitchell Davis scored two.
Macauley Goring performed among the best on ground for the Eagles breaking through stoppages and creating opportunities to move the ball through the midfield.
North Footscray claimed a 17-point victory over Newport after falling behind 35-points at quarter time.
A devastating first quarter saw the Devils yielding eight goals to a disciplined Newport who held North Footscray to minimal scores throughout the first half.
The Devils lifted in the third quarter restricting Power to one goal in a heavily contested second half.
A touched attempt at goal close to the end of the last term threatened to shorten the lead but a goal on the siren saw the Devils end the match with a sufficient margin.
Mustafa Mesto launched four goals for the Power and Ziad Kadour placed best on ground for a strong performance creating opportunities in the midfield through skillful interception during play.
Lyndon Mcilroy, Jonathen Miller and Tyren Montebruno scored two goals each for the Devils and Sam Denby-Blake was best on ground.
Newport Power is set to face West Footscray next weekend on their home ground, while Albanvale takes on Yarraville-Seddon and Manor Lakes goes up against North Footscray at Hansen Reserve.
EAGLES SUFFER FIRST LOSS OF THE SEASON

THE Yarraville Seddon Eagles suffered their first loss of the season, losing to Manor Lakes in a low scoring game at Howqua Reserve on Saturday.
The Storm started strongly, keeping their opposition scoreless, while they kicked two goals and nine behinds at quarter time.
The Eagles kicked two majors in the second term, but the margin was still 13-points at half-time.
The Storm increased its margin to 20-points at the final change and despite the tricky weather conditions looked like scoring an unlikely upset.
Yarraville fought back in the final stanza but the scoreboard damage was done. The Storm claimed an impressive six-point win.
West Footscray also scored a five point win over Albanvale. The final score was 8.7 (55) to Cobras 6.14 (50).
Ange Messina kicked three goals in the match, Graham Clarke was named best on ground.
Finally, North Footscray defeated Newport Power by 29-points at Bryan Martyn Oval.
Matt Walsh continued his rich vein of form by scoring six goals in the game bring his total goal tally for the season to 61. He was assisted by Alexander Ford who scored three goals.
