ONE of Braybrook’s favourite sons will play his 300th game for the club on Saturday.
Terry ‘Topsy’ Sinclair began playing footy at Pennell Reserve back in 1997, 20 years on and he is still lacing up the boots and pulling on the Bombers jumper.
Terry said he was looking forward to the milestone match.
“I love the club, I have been there since a junior,” he said.
“I will be running onto the ground with my five month old, who will also be wearing a little Braybrook jumper, which will be pretty special.
“It will be a great day.”
Braybrook Football Club committee member Rob Hutchison said Terry was Braybrook man through and through.
“He is the spirit of the club,” Rob said.
“Braybrook is very much working class and that’s the way 'Topsy' is and that’s the way he plays his footy.
“He is a fierce competitor with one clear ambition in mind and that is to win.”
Terry, who is a part of the club’s leadership group this year, was a part of the Braybrook’s historic 2014 premiership team.
He has also featured in the club’s best and fairest votes throughout the years.
Rob said Terry loved the football club and everything it stood for.
“From everyone at the Braybrook Sporting Club we sincerely wish him the very best of luck for his 300th game,” he said.
Braybrook host Laverton at Pennell Reserve on Saturday. The Reserves kick-off at 12.00pm and the Seniors start at 2.15pm.
“Last time we played Laverton they won, so hopefully we can get one back,” Terry said.
