THE Western Region Football League is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Sparrow to the role of Manager – Football Operations.
Adam comes to the WRFL from the Southern Football Netball League (SFNL), where he is currently General Manager – Football Operations, a position he has held since April 2015.
Adam previously served as Football Operations Manager with the South Metro Junior Football League for three years, and also brings with him experience in event and retail management, having worked with clients including the Melbourne Storm and Melbourne Rebels respectively. He has a Bachelor of Commerce (Sports Management) from Deakin University.
WRFL CEO Matthew Duck said the appointment was an exciting one for the WRFL.
“The League conducted a thorough and exhaustive recruitment process, and placed a premium on finding an applicant who understood local football and the challenges for clubs and the league alike,” he said.
“Whilst the calibre of applicants was strong, the selection panel was delighted to appoint Adam given his energy, enthusiasm and experience working in a similar environment and role.’
Sparrow will officially commence in the position with the WRFL on August 21.
