KEILOR and Sunbury remain unbeaten in the WRFL/EDFL Senior Women’s competition after eight rounds of play.
Keilor took on Caroline Springs on Sunday at Keilor Reserve, with the Blues winning by 127-points, in what was another dominant display.
The home side kept the Lakers scoreless for the first three quarters while they kicked 17-goals.
Keilor had 10 different goal kickers. Gemma Wright led the way with five goals. Sarah Wright also booted four goals.
For Caroline Springs, Emma Payne was the only goal scorer. She was the Lakers’ best player.
This season, Keilor has been the most attacking team of the competition, they’ve scored 969 points from their seven games. They have also had the best defence, allowing the opposition to score a total of 31 points.
Meanwhile, Sunbury scored a 90-point win over Roxburgh Park at Lakeside Oval.
The Lions kicked eight goals to zero in the first half. They continued to pressure the ball and win contest after contest in the second half, eventually winning 15.14. (104) to 2.2. (14).
Simone Craige was at her dominant best, she kicked five goals.
Pascoe Vale was too strong for Tarneit. The Panthers’ margin continued to grow after each break. The final score was 12.15. (87) to 2.2. (14).
Jodie Fry kicked three goals for Pascoe Vale, however it was the efforts of Nat Egan that gave her best on ground honours.
Glenroy also scored its third win of the season, defeating Craigieburn by 55-points.
Freedom Ebert was best on ground for Glenroy, she kicked two goals.
Glen Orden had the bye.
