THREE talented WRFL stars will compete in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships over the weekend.
Caroline Springs star Tristan Xerri will make the trip to Western Australia with his Vic Metro team mates for Round 1 of the Championships.
The promising forward has been picked in the team for their first game of the national championships. His selection comes off the back of playing six games for the Western Jets this year.
He was also a part of the Lakers’ Division 2 and Under-17B premiership victories in 2016.
Vic Metro will take on Western Australia at Domain Stadium on Sunday. The match will begin at 11am (WA time).
Xerri is one of three players from the WRFL in the Vic Metro’s extended squad. Spotswood’s Lachlan Fogarty and St Albans’ Buku Khamis are also involved with the team, but haven’t been selected in Round 1 of the Championships.
Caroline Springs rising star Aleesha Hobbs and Deer Park young gun Chelsea Jansen have also been selected in the Vic Metro team for Round 1 of the NAB AFL Women’s Under-18 Championships.
Spotswood’s Isabella Grant and Wyndhamvale player Cleo Saxon-Jones are also in Vic Metro’s extended squad, but haven’t been picked for Saturday’s game.
Vic Metro will take on Vic Country at Simonds Stadium on Saturday. Entry is free, with the game kicking off at 2.30pm.
The game will also be live streamed via the AFLW YouTube Account, you can watch it below:
