CAROLINE Springs scored its first win of the Senior Women’s season on Friday night, defeating Tarneit by 75-points in-front of a packed crowd at Town Centre Oval.
The Lakers got off to a perfect start, kicking five goals in the opening quarter and more importantly kept their opponents scoreless.
The home side continued to work the ball through the middle of the ground, keeping the Titans defenders busy throughout the second and third quarters.
In the final term, Caroline Springs kicked two goals, while Tarneit were able to finally get on the board, kicking one goal and two behinds.
The final score was 12.11 (83) to 1.2. (8).
Anthea Stathakis was the star up forward for the Lakers, she booted six goals. Carissa Whiley was also impressive.
Glen Orden battled hard against Roxburgh Park, but couldn’t match it with them for four quarters, losing by 24-points.
An impressive Keilor side made it three wins from as many matches when they defeated Manor Lakes on Sunday.
The 7.9. (51) to 1.4. (10) victory sees Keilor sit on top of the ladder. Brooke Todero also added another two goals to her tally.
In other results, Pascoe Vale defeated Glenroy by 55-points and Sunbury defeated Craigieburn by 38-points.
