OVER the next three weeks junior footballers from across the WRFL will play a special role on AFL Women’s game days.
Aspiring footballers, who one day dream of playing the AFL Women’s competition, will form a guard of honour as the Western Bulldogs players run onto Whitten Oval.
Some WRFL clubs will also get the chance to play grid games on the ground at half-time.
If you are at the game or are watching on TV, keep an eye out for the league’s up and coming stars.
Round 2 of AFL Women’s competition sees the Western Bulldogs take on Adelaide tonight.
The game will begin at 7.35pm, with Whitten Oval gates opening from 6pm. Entry is free.
