THE Western Region Football League has revealed the 2017 Senior Fixture, with Round 1 set to commence on April 1.
Division 1 will return to a 10-team competition after Caroline Springs claimed the Division 2 crown earlier this year.
The Lakers first game in the premier competition will be against Albion at Town Centre Oval, with the club set to unfurl their premiership flag in-front of their fans.
Deer Park will also unfurl its historic fourth consecutive premiership flag in Round 1, when they take on Altona at John McLeod Oval.
Sunshine will kick off its 2017 campaign with a match against Spotswood and the Werribee Districts will take on Wyndhamvale.
Other highlights from the Division 1 fixture include the return of the Good Friday clash between rivals Hoppers Crossing and St Albans.
The Grand Final replay between the Lions and the Warriors will be played in Round 6 at Hogan’s Road Reserve.
There will be a general bye on May 13 for Senior Interleague.
The Division 1 Grand Final has also been scheduled for the weekend of September 16 and 17.
In Division 2, Newport Power will unfurl its Division 3 premiership flag against Manor Lakes in Round 1.
While, the Glen Orden v Manor Lakes, Round 3 match, could potentially be moved to Anzac Day on April 25.
In Division 3, both the Braybrook versus North Sunshine and Sanctuary Lakes versus Tarneit matches in Round 2 could also be played on Anzac Day.
Details regarding all three Anzac Day clashes are yet to be finalised.
Finally, the Division 2 and 3 Grand Finals have been scheduled for the weekend of September 9 and 10, 2017.
