SOME of the former stars of the Albion Football Club will go head-to-head in their inaugural Legend’s Match next week.
Some of the Cats’ favourite sons will return for the special match, including past premiership players. Current coach Aaron Tymms also pulling on the boots for the match.
The winning team will claim the ‘Paul Muir Go For It’ trophy and the best player on the ground will win the Matty Noble Medal.
A club legend, Muir, was diagnosed with Fronto-temporal dementia last year. A disease which progressively damages parts of the brain that affect behaviour, personality and emotions.
At the 2016 WRFL Season Launch, Muir was one of four people to be recognised with 300-game life membership with the league.
Part of the money raised from the event will be donated to the Muir family.
The Legend’s Match will be played at JR Parsons Reserve on August 12 at 7pm.
