Round 12 started off with Yarraville-Seddon having the bye. The Eagles sit second on the ladder, behind North Footscray who had a resounding 184-point win over Manor Lakes.
North Footscray led from start to finish, increasing its lead at each break.
Their biggest quarter was the third when they piled on a massive 13-goals, in what was one of their best quarters of footy for the season.
The Devils also managed to keep the Storm scoreless in the third term.
Max Rampling kicked six goals, Lucas Hall, Tyren Montebruno and Tyson Bock all kicking four.
What’s pleasing for the Devils is their ability to continue to find form and push towards finals with the last four rounds of the season coming up.
Daniel Neville was best afield for North Footscray with Bock in second and Hall rounding out the three.
For the Storm Caelin Wright was judged best field for his side in his sixth game, while Ashlay Fletcher and Matthew Dettman rounded out the top three.
Caroline Springs continued their charge towards finals with a 119-point win over Albanvale.
The Lakers were able to bounce back from its disappointing loss to the Eagles the previous week.
Caroline Springs had majors from Mathew Sutton who kicked four goals and Aaron King who kicked three.
The Cobras had Steven Farrugia who kicked the two goals.
For the Lakers Stefan Caterino was best afield whilst Jason Degabriele and Matthew Hayes round out the top three with both kicking three majors each.
The Cobras missing some key personnel had Michael Spatolisano best on ground with Darren Borg and Brendan Cassar also playing well.
Glen Orden maintained their position in the four with a 162-point win over West Footscray.
The Hawks’ major goal scorers were Dane Thomas who kicked seven and Joshua Macdonald who kicked six.
Macdonald took his tally up to 27 goals for the season as he was judged best on ground for the Hawks.
Thomas and Mark Zammit rounded out the top three.
For the Roosters, Matthew Nolton was best afield whilst Angus Rodda and Matthew Hilton joined him in the top three.
As we turn our attention to Round 13, Manor Lakes will take on Glen Orden at Howqua Reserve.
West Footscray will take on Caroline Springs at Shorten Reserve and fresh from the bye the Yarraville Seddon Eagles will go head-to-head with Albanvale at Yarraville Oval.
North Footscray has the bye.
