LIKE many other times this season, North Footscray have refused to take their foot off the pedal, easily dismantling Manor Lakes at Hansen Reserve.
The Devils were never in doubt, winning by a massive 203-point victory against the Storm at the weekend.
The win was their ninth of the season and puts them into second spot on the Division 2 Reserves ladder.
For Manor Lakes, their season reached an all-time low after this loss. They weren’t able to score a goal during the course of the match. It was also their second biggest losing margin of the season.
Storm players Michael West and Joshua Webb stood out for their team with their defensive skills, however the Devils just couldn’t be stopped as they scored goal after goal.
Throughout each quarter North Footscray were able to extend its lead at each break, their biggest quarter was in the fourth term, when they booted 10 goals and six behinds.
Spectators couldn’t keep their eyes off North Footscray’s Joshua McCabe as he trailed the ball and won most of his contests.
He kicked a goal and was named best on ground.
Harley Patterson kicked six goals for North Footscray, allowing him to take out the leading goal kicker position, over Yarraville Seddon’s Michael Volpi.
Manor Lakes are still sitting last on the ladder, with only one win from a forfeit.
In other matches, there has been yet another week of high scoring games although none quite as big as North Footscrays win.
At Town Centre Oval in Caroline Springs, the Lakers defeated Albanvale for the second time this season, winning 29.14. (188) to 1.1. (7).
Lakers star Michael Saker kicked 12 goals in what was a best on ground performance.
In the final match of the round, Glen Orden experienced a massive home ground win defeating West Footscray, 17.15. (117) to 4.5. (29).
Hawks player Zac Foley kicked a game high seven goals in the match. Eddie Bryson also kicked four goals of his own. However it was Michael Franklin who was named the best player on the ground.
In Round 13 action, Manor Lakes will be hosting their pink round, in the local derby against Glen Orden, the Storm will be trying their best to get one up over the Hawks.
At Yarraville Oval, the undefeated Eagles will be going up against the Cobras an in the final match of the round, Caroline Springs will take on West Footscray at Shorten Reserve.
North Footscray has the bye.
