FOUR teams will go head-to-head for premiership points on Saturday, despite the official start to the WRFL season kicking-off one week later on April 9.
Manor Lakes will take on Caroline Springs at Howqua Reserve and Albanvale is set to play West Footscray at Robert Bruce Oval.
Due to a quirk in the fixture the two senior and reserves matches will be played this weekend.
In order for the competition to be balanced the four clubs will kick-start their season earlier than the rest of the competition.
If you need a WRFL footy fix head down to Howqua Reserve or Robert Bruce Oval to see your favourite clubs in action on Saturday.
The reserves matches will kick-off at 12pm and the senior matches will be played at 2.15pm.
The official start to the WRFL season will begin on April 9.
