AFTER claiming the Division 2 senior flag last season, Wyndhamvale have earned the right to be elevated into the WRFL’s premier competition, Division 1.
Coach Troy Beamond says his team are desperate to make their mark on Division 1 this year with players showing encouraging signs during pre-season.

Last season: Division 2 Senior Premiers. Division 2 Reserves – 3rd.
Leading goal-kicker: Seniors - Paul O’Shea – 56 goals. Reserves – Samuel Ingham – 54 goals.
Best and Fairest: Tyler Tessari.
Key Ins: Brian Graham, Josh Diaz, Daniel Cross and Aidan Boland.
Key Outs: Tito Nyawela.
Rising stars to watch: “We are confident our four main recruits will make a positive impact for us,” coach Troy Beamond said.
“From the younger guys, Keiran Morrison and Mitch Gough improved dramatically throughout 2015 and have continued that progression through the pre-season, whilst Liam Scarborough has come through our juniors and is a chance to make an immediate impact at senior level.”
How has the pre-season been: “Our pre-season has been very encouraging,” Beamond said.
“The boys have come back in decent condition and are desperate to make a mark in Division 1.
“Pleasingly, we have a large number of guys who have come up from our junior system and have added some youthful enthusiasm, and kept the senior guys on their toes.”
Expectations this season: “Our expectations are not related to wins/losses,” Beamond said.
“What we expect each week is that we will field sides who will play hard competitive football, and have a ‘never give in’ attitude.”
