The Countdown to the start of the WRFL season has officially begun. Today we profile the Werribee Centrals Football Club.
The WRFL spoke to Werribee Centrals president Gordon Rae about the 2016 season.
How has the pre-season been, any exciting news?
Pre-season has been good. We are having our grounds re-developed, so this year we will have two brand new ovals to go with our main ground.
What are your expectations for the new season as a club?
To keep developing the kids in our area and to continue our success on and off the field.
Any staff/coaching or manager changes at your club?
There haven’t been too many coaching changes from recent times, but we now have a new look committee. Ed Cachia the previous president for the last eight years has moved on to our senior club after building the juniors to what we have today.
Approximately, how many teams will you be fielding this year?
8
