SUNSHINE Heights has appointed a new coach for 2018.
Damien Farnfield will take the reins as coach, taking over from Robbie Greto and Matt Scalzo, who have been at the helm for the past three seasons.
Farnfield coached the Dragons’ Reserves side to its first finals appearance in 10 years.
“I am really excited about the future of the club and the direction we are heading,” he said on the Sunshine Heights Facebook page.
“I have no doubt that we will reach finals if he players show a commitment to build on the success of this season.”
The Facebook statement also thanked both Greto and Scalzo for their service over the past three seasons.
“Robbie and Matty stepped into the role when the club was going through its darkest days. It is a testament to these tow that there is a senior team today and to the success of the 2017 season,” the post said.
Sunshine Heights also announced the appointment of Matty Camilleri as its Reserves coach next season.
