MANOR Lakes has moved into second place on the Senior Women’s ladder after defeating the previously undefeated Sunbury on Sunday.
The Storm controlled the match from the first bounce to the final siren, putting in a dominant display in the Round 10 clash.
In fact the 56-point win could have been bigger if it wasn’t for Manor Lakes’ wayward kicking. They had 27 shots on goal to three.
The final score was 10.17 (74) to 3.0. (18).
Kellee McIntosh and Lindsay Newton ended the match with four and two goals respectively. Jessica Court was also among Manor Lakes’ best players.
Caroline Springs also continued their impressive season with a win over Glen Orden.
The Lakers increased their lead after every break, winning by 39-points at Heatherdale Oval.
Shannon Lake kicked two goals, but it was Emma Payne’s efforts across the four quarters that gave her best on ground honours.
Caroline Springs now sit in fourth place on the ladder. They also have a healthy percentage of 119%.
Keilor scored its ninth win from as many matches, defeating Tarneit by 182-points, in what was a complete performance by the Blues.
Keilor had 11 different goal scorers. Brooke Todero finished the game with seven goals.
Pascoe Vale also defeated Roxburgh Park by 58-points at Lakeside Oval.
The Panthers flew out of the blocks at the start of the game, kicking four goals to one. They continued to apply pressure around the ball throughout the rest of the match.
The final score was 10.10. (70) to 2.0. (12).
