THE Western Region Football League celebrated EJ Whitten Men’s Health Round at the weekend.
Senior players in all three Divisions, wore specially designed EJ Whitten armbands, to help raise awareness of men’s health issues in our community.
Ted Whitten Jnr, founder of the EJ Whitten Foundation, attended the Spotswood versus Sunshine clash at McLean Reserve. He spoke with players after the match about the importance of having annual check-ups with your doctor.
New EJ Whitten Foundation CEO Nick Holland was at the West Footscray and Yarraville Seddon Eagles clash.
The WRFL is encouraging all clubs to get involved with the Foundation’s Time to Test program, an initiative aimed at improving men’s health and behaviours. For more information on how you can get involved, click here: http://www.ejwhittenfoundation.com.au/community/
