THE Altona and Altona Juniors Football Clubs have welcomed the Hobson’s Bay City Council announcement, which will see their facilities at JK Grant Reserve recieve a much needed makeover.
The Council announced the JK Grant Sports Pavilion will be redeveloped after they allocated $1.3 million in funds earlier this week.
The Council along with funds pooled by the State Government and various sporting organisations who use the facility will now be able to fund the major upgrades to the social room, change facilities, toilets and storage space.
JK Grant Reserve is used by the Altona and Altona Juniors Football Club. It is also used for Auskick and cricket during the summer.
Construction on the redevelopment is set to be completed towards the end of the year.
