WESTERN Region Football League umpire Luke Wilkie has been selected to officiate the TAC Cup Semi-Final between the North Ballarat Rebels and the Oakleigh Chargers.
He has been picked to be the boundary umpire for this Sunday’s game at Ikon Park after an impressive display during the VFL Qualifying Final at the weekend.
Depending on his performance on Sunday, Luke will again be in the running to umpire the following weekend of finals.
Luke was among a host of WRFL umpires that were selected to be involved in various VFL, TAC Cup and Youth Girls finals last weekend.
Lewis Spiker was on the boundary for last week’s first qualifying final between the Dandenong Stingrays and the Murray Bushrangers.
Brendan Maloney was the goal umpire in the second qualifying final between the Geelong Falcons and the North Ballarat Rebels.
Brendan has also been named as the emergency goal umpire for this Sunday’s TAC Cup Semi-Final match at Ikon Park at 11.30am.
Finally, Shaun Weise and Paul Parker ran the boundary in the Youth Girls Final at the weekend.
The WRFL would like to congratulate Luke, Lewis, Brendan, Shaun and Paul for their achievements.
