TARNIET’S 52-point win over Laverton sees the Titans overtake leaders Parkside on the Division 3 Reserves ladder.
The Titans’ superior percentage of more than 430 per cent, sees them jump the Magpies on the ladder.
Tarneit took on Laverton at Wootten Road Reserve at the weekend, with the Titans dominating contests across the ground.
The Titans kicked five goals in the opening half, while keeping their opposition to just one behind.
It was more of the same in the second half with the home side kicking a further three goals.
Laverton’s only goal for the match came from Caine Mitchell in the final quarter.
For Tarneit, Troy Whiting continued his good form in front of goal with another two majors to add to his growing season tally, however it was Damien Harris who was named best on ground.
Tarneit will next take on the Wyndham Suns at Goddard Street Reserve.
The Suns will be keen to bounce back from their loss to Parkside on Saturday.
It was a disappointing result for Wyndham, who were keen to stay in touch with the top two, heading into the final three weeks of the regular season.
After a tied first quarter, Parkside did what they do best and attacked the footy and kept applying pressure throughout the match.
The Magpies had only booted five goals up until three-quarter-time, but were able to pile on another five goals in the final term to run out 53-point winners.
Parkside will take on Sanctuary Lakes in Round 16 action.
Meanwhile, Newport Power scored an emphatic win over North Sunshine at Bryan Martyn Oval.
The Power had 13 different goal scorers in the 137-point win.
It was a complete performance by the Power, who increased their lead over the Roadrunners at every change.
They kicked four goals in the first quarter, three in the second, four goals in the third term, before finishing the match with a massive 10-goal haul final term.
Newport’s Mohamed Abdo and Faissal Taleb led the way with four goals each.
