YARRAVILLE Seddon’s chances at finishing the home and away season undefeated are looking better as each week passes, as they once again defeated Albanvale.
The ladder-leaders took on Albanvale at Yarraville Oval at the weekend, winning the Round 13 match 23.8. (146) to 1.5. (11).
Despite having 10 separate goal kickers, Eagles star Scott Krakouer was the main target up forward for the home side, he slotted seven goals.
Krakouer and Paul Azar were named as the best players on the ground.
Manor Lakes hosted its pink round in the local derby against Glen Orden.
Despite the Storm playing some of their best football this season, they weren’t able to match it with the Hawks, losing 7.3 (45) to 16.14 (110).
Glen Orden’s Shayne Comensoli’s four goals was good enough to make him the best player on the ground.
Meanwhile, West Footscray have faced another huge home ground loss, after Caroline Springs defeated them by 202-points at the weekend.
The Lakers didn’t put a foot wrong, dominating throughout the match.
Caroline Springs forward Michael Saker has moved up to third place in the leading goal kickers, after kicking a massive 10 goals for his team.
Saker wasn’t the only player who was able to score big, with his teammate Nathan Knuckey scoring six goals.
During the first half, West Footscray went scoreless, while Caroline Springs scored goal after goal, heading into the half-time break with a 118-point lead.
Their dominance continued in the second-half, as they piled on another 12 goals.
As North Footscray had a bye last week, this win puts Caroline Springs back in second spot on the ladder. The big win has also boosted their percentage, they are on 681 per cent.
In Round 14 action, Glen Orden will have their bye, whilst Manor Lakes will be making the drive to Town Centre Oval to take on Caroline Springs.
At Robert Bruce Oval, Albanvale will be playing West Footscray, the Roosters have significantly improved since the last time these two sides met, however the Cobras are still strong favourites to score its fifth win of the season.
Yarraville Seddon will be making their way over the Hansen Reserve to take on North Footscray, the Devils have a very real chance to defeat the undefeated Eagles, but will have to bring their A-game.
