The Suns kept in touch with the top two by making a major statement this week, destroying North Sunshine by 208-points.
The win takes Wyndham to nine wins and one loss, just four points off top spot and sets them up for a thrilling race to the minor premiership.
The biggest margin of the WRFL season thus far was kick-started by a massive 15 goal to one first-half and the Suns kept their momentum going on the way to their best victory in 2016.
With percentage playing a vital role coming into finals this win could be the difference between top two and top four in the long run.
Wyndham currently sit in third position and face Sunshine Heights on Saturday and will look to continue their blistering form.
Their upcoming opponents will be full of confidence after an important win over Laverton at Ainsworth Reserve.
Clutching onto a hope of finals in 2016, Sunshine fought hard and pulled off a comeback in the final quarter to win by 24-points.
They kept Laverton goalless in the fourth stanza while kicking six of their own.
The two-pronged attack of Matthew Camilleri and Nick Caruana booted four goals each and played a significant role in the uplifting victory.
On the losing side, Laverton were represented well by Lucas Williams (three goals) and Justin Fulford who provided constant drive through the middle.
Laverton face another tough task in Round 13 against ladder-leaders Parkside, but should put up a good fight despite the difference in skills and ability.
Parkside themselves kept a winning record, notching up their 10th for the season as they bested Newport by six goals.
The Power were on the back foot from the get go as Parkside kept them scoreless in the first quarter, with inaccuracy the only saving grace for Newport.
Mark Folwell maintained his brilliant form kicking five goals and staying in touch with goalkicking frontrunner Samuel Ingham and his teammate David Orchard held onto second spot with three to his name.
Elsewhere it was a top four clash that failed to meet expectations with Tarneit defeating Sanctuary Lakes by 46-points.
Tarneit never really stepped out of second gear as the Sharks were unable to upset one of the premiership favourites.
The Sharks should bounce back on the weekend as they face perennial cellar dwellers Braybrook, while Tarneit will play North Sunshine and look to wrestle away top spot from Parkside.
