CAROLINE Springs have had a strong home game win after they defeated Glen Orden, in the ANZAC Spirit match on Saturday.
From the first bounce the Lakers kept possession of the ball, not allowing Glen Orden to hit the scoreboard throughout the first half.
Aaron King was scored a massive six goals for the Lakers.
His teammate David Cavanagh also hit the scoreboard, booting five goals of his own.
Glen Orden managed to hit the scoreboard in the third term, with two behinds, but other than that couldn’t trouble the scores. The Hawks were left goalless.
Winning by 140-points, Caroline Springs were all smiles when they left the field, their voices could be heard by all as they sang their song with pride in the change rooms.
Caroline Springs were not the only team to win by a large margin, with big wins all across the board in Round 3 action of the Western Region Football League.
Spectators who came to see a home ground victory were extremely disappointed as Manor Lakes lost to Yarraville Seddon down at Howqua Reserve.
The Storm was another team unable to put a score on the board, losing 0.0. (0) to 29.11. (185).
North Footscray remain undefeated after they took on Albanvale up at Robert Bruce Oval.
In a brilliant triumph, the Devils were able to defeat the Cobras, 3.1. (19) to 18.20. (128).
West Footscray had a bye in the previous round.
This round will see Albanvale travel to Heathdale Oval, as they match up with Glen Orden.
Albanvale will head into the match as favourites, however Glen Orden will be hoping to get their first win for the season.
Caroline Springs are reading to take on Yarraville Seddon, these two teams seem to be evenly matched, meaning spectators are in for a great contest.
Manor Lakes will have their first bye for the season, after last week’s match they are looking to rest and revitalise, so they can bring their A-game next week.
In the local derby, West Footscray will be making the short drive over to North Footscray.
