THE Western Region Football League season will officially begin this weekend on April 9 and April 10.
All the hard work players and clubs put in during pre-season will be put to the test as matches get underway.
It is shaping up to be an exciting year for the WRFL, with new recruits ready to fire in 2016, but at this stage all we have is questions.
In Division 1, will Deer Park win a record fourth consecutive premiership? How will goal kicking machine Brendan Fevola go?
How will Wyndhamvale adjust to the pace of Division 1?
In Division 2, Brian Lake’s Caroline Springs looks like it might play feature in the finals, perhaps even the grand final.
North Footscray and Yarraville Seddon also look like likely contenders.
Meanwhile, in Division 3, Newport Power enters the senior competition. How will their first season rate?
All the juniors also kick off on Sunday.
This season is sure to be one to remember. Stay tuned.
