NOMINATIONS to be a part of The Whitten Project close soon.
Nominations are open to both males and females who live in the Ballarat, Brimbank, Glenelg, Hobson’s Bay, Maribyrnong, Melton and Moonee Valley municipalities.
The Whitten Project is looking for self-motivated young people who are interested in becoming leaders in their own community. Candidates don’t need to excel in sport to be considered for the program.
Participation in The Whitten Project is free, with participants receiving a complimentary program uniform, a Western Bulldogs membership, program resource book and framed certificate of graduation upon the completion of the program.
To take part in the initiative, participants need to attend 80 per cent of the core program workshops and the delivery of a group Community Leadership Project.
Due to the popularity of the program, potential candidates are required to complete a nomination form describing their motivations to participate in the program.
Nominations can be completed by either completing the form yourself or through a referral from a teacher, coach, community member, etc.
The nomination form is available from the Western Bulldogs website and will take you between 10 and 15 minutes to complete.
All applicants will be notified the outcome of their submission by mid-April.
The Whitten Project was established by the Western Bulldogs in 2013 with the aim of offering opportunities for young people to gain confidence, develop new skills and make new friends.
