WE are only a few weeks into 2016, but plenty has been happening at several WRFL clubs.
We take a look at what's making news.
The Albion Football Club is gearing up for a big season. The club has already scheduled three practice matches. The Cats will go head-to-head against Caroline Springs on March 19, the Melton Bloods on March 24 and the Heathmont Football Club on April 2.
In other footy news, the club has announced the signing of former premiership player Sam Stephens, who was the 2010 Rookie of the Year.

Caroline Springs has been busy during the holiday period. Their Youth Girls team attended a pre-season footy camp in Halls Gamp across the weekend. Training will continue on Tuesday. If any girls aged between 13 and 17 years, would like to join the Lakers they can contact Michael on 0409 403 436.
Meanwhile pre-season will continue for Caroline Springs’ senior team tonight.
Manor Lakes will also return to pre-season training tonight.
North Sunshine has already got stuck back into pre-season training.
PEGS Football Club is calling out for junior players to join the club in 2016. The club is looking for boys and girls aged between 8 and 14. For more information contact Rob on 0419 829 929 or Aaron on 0413 435 390.
The Point Cook Football Club will be hosting a Registration Day on February 14 at Saltwater Reserve (Cnr Point Cook Road and Saltwater Promenade, Point Cook) between 11am and 1pm. Registrations are now being taken for players in under-9’s through to under-17’s, as well as their Youth Girls teams. For more information visit their website or Facebook page.
Tarneit will return to its pre-season training on Wednesday. The club’s junior registration day and first training session will be held at the club on February 10.
Werribee Districts have already started pre-season in 2016. They began working towards Round 1 last week.

The Wyndham Suns will hit the track for the first time in 2016 tonight. The club is also on the hunt for senior and junior trainers for this season. Anyone who is interested in joining the club can contact President Graeme Clark on 0414 984 702. The Suns are also seeking Junior Coaches for the upcoming season. The club is looking for under-9, under-11 and under-13 coaches. For more information contact Clark.
The Wyndhamvale Football Club will be hosting their Registration Day on February 21 at Wyndham Vale South Reserve between 11am and 2pm.
